Poetry
Tis the witching hour of night,
Or bed is the moon and bright,
And the stars they glisten, glisten,
Seeming with bright eyes to listen
For what listen they?
John Keats (1795-1821)

And the stars they glisten, glisten,
Seeming with bright eyes to listen
For what listen they?

Demerol
It’s been really hot the whole morning and most of the afternoon. I’m sweaty, sticky, cranky, sleepy and most of all I’m in pain!
How I wish that Demerol is one of those meds that you can buy over the counter.
To top it all, my blasted neighbor chose to burn his garbage once again despite the fact he’s been reprimanded already about it!
Why oh why oh why!?
Sunday is my “bliss” day!!! I’m supposed to relax and do nothing but to improve on my “how to gain weight the fastest way” tricks.
Then, blissful silence.
Did the kids kill each other already? They’ve been really energetic the whole day. They don’t have any respect for their PMSng mother.
Well, what happened?
Oh good they’re sleeping already.
Hah! A “really heavy meal, ice cream as desert followed by a stern warning that if they don’t do their homework right away, they’ll be grounded forever” will do the trick! Hahaha! I knew it. They wouldn’t stand a chance. Homework makes them sleepy.
Yes! Mom really knows best. Being able to trick the kids is one of the bestest feeling in the world.
Then I guess Someone up there took pity on me – it started to rain!
Wow! It must be my lucky day!
I really love the rain.
Love the smell of soil
Love the smell of grass.
Love the smell of nanay’s cooking – something with garlic and ginger.
Love listening to all my favorite songs while sitting in front of the window watching the rain (and the “ill-burn-my-garbage-no-matter-what “ neighbor on panic mode coz he’s getting wet and he cant open the door to his house).
Whoa! The pain’s even gone! And know what? I cant even remember what I was being annoyed about earlier.
I bet even a 1000 mg of Demerol cant do the trick!

Boring training session
I wrote this during one of our training sessions with LDP (Leadership Development Plan)
Got so bored I guess.. so instead of writing something about how to be a role model it made me think.. who are my role models at work and what a role model means..
Cheesy stuff.. but i guess worth writing.. itll be a reminder when me and GI start fighting again...hehehehe...
For me, a role model is someone who inspires you to be a better person – be it at work or your personal life. It can be one person or a group of people. It can be your immediate sup, your trainer, the company’s executives – even your agents.
I am fortunate enough to be able to work with a lot people who inspired me and taught me things that made me a better person.
Ten years ago, I was a newbie for Globe account, with no background on call center work. What I know today, I owe to those people – my role models. (Agriculture and call center work are miles and miles apart, right?)
** My first supervisor – GI Vista:
About 50% of what I am now as an employee is the result of GI’s persistence and patience in mentoring the newbie who’s only reason for staying with the company is to avoid the boredom of waiting for the next school year. True, I was resistant to all her coaching at first but she didn’t give up on me. One of the things she taught me that I still value until now: “If it’s not documented, it didn’t happen”
**Mark Bonifacio
I admire his work dedication. He taught me the importance of using a project plan and strictly adhering to the set deadlines. He would always ask/ solicit my opinion with issues/ activities that will affect our work/ job functions
**Bernie Tuazon
For his professionalism. I can say that when it comes to reports and other dependencies, you can always count on US Airways to submit on time.
**My direct reports (past and present)
For all the challenges – be it for my analytical skills, patience etc.
They are a constant reminder that I should conduct myself in a such a way that will make them proud of me.
