Offficial Age: 36 yrs old

So im officially 36 years old today...
So far so good..
126 people greeted me on FB..
67 text messages..
spoke to my dad...
spend the day at home...
been with my family...
wrestled with dax...
laughed with Jem...
annoyed my mom...
spoke (again) to people i havent spoke with for quite sometime..
ate like a horse...
slept whenever i want to...

i realized that a lot of people love (or at least like) me...

hmmnn.... not bad for starters...

so what's next?

hmmnn... im having my nails done tomorrow...

Its hard to give advice to the younger generation when you know for a fact that when you were at the same age.. your outlook towards life is exactly the same...

For example my niece Mimi is so stressed out and culture shocked with her new school - she's a college freshman..

I remember.. my first few weeks at the college dormitory was really hard... i kept on crying every night- I miss my mom, my dad and my highschool friends..to top it all.. i witnessed an honest to goodness fraternity rumble on my 3rd day as a college student.. a pillbox just exploded in front of me and the girl walking beside me was hit by flying debris... before i knew it, i was home crying my heart out to my parents. But then my dad, bless his heart, convinced me to go back to school...

After a while.. i was able to cope up and before i knew it, im joing an academic organization and enjoying college life to the fullest..

I may have made a lot of mistakes in my youth and even now as an adult.. im not ashamed to share them especially to my kids, my younger cousins, nieces and nephnews..

What's the saying again? oh right..

early bday blues

Im having an advanced attack of pre-bday blues...
Im turning 36 on the 28th of June.. well.. that's one week from now..
Im feeling kinda sad about it..
I feel like nothing changed since last year
I feel that no one really cares..
I dont even know if anyone will remember it...
Or if anyone will even care that ill be a year older....

Lazy Sunday

Its Sunday and me and daughter is watching "the Covenant" while my son is out there hanging out with his friends. I bet, a few mins from now, he'll be coming home starving. This is one of the "regular" things in my life - a good one.

Having coffee while watching the morning news when I get home from work.
Seeing the Mt. Makiling and its soothing green color on my way home
Hearing my son's doves cooing all day..
Hearing my mom doing her thing in the kithen..

Regular things.. but good..
sometimes you need a redundancy in your life to know that you belong...

Guitar Lessons???

Ive been trying my bestest to learn how to play the guitar. My kids also want to learn so I ordered one from Cebu - shhh... dont tell them yet.. its a surprise.

A friend of mine suggested that I hire his cousin to give my kids guitar lessons and ofcourse i agree.

Here's my dilemma... am i too old at 36 (hey ill turn 36 on the 28th)? Or am I too young?

Actually... learning how to play the instrument is a part of my "bucket list". I dont wanna complete my bucket list too soon.. im too young right? Hahaah! Not that i believe in premonition or bad omen and stuff.... but i just wanna make sure that i wont kick the bucket too soon...

So to learn or not to learn?

New School Year for the Kids

So Dax is on his 2nd year of highshool and Jem on her 4th and final year. 20 years ago, i was in that same phase. Terrified and excited to go to college. Times flies... yeah.. true... Before I knew it shell be off to college.

Im excited and sad at the same time. I know she'll do well.. but I wont get to spend as much time with her anymore. She'll have a life of her own.

Wish I can take care of her like I used to.. but now.. I dont know who's taking care of who.

I'll miss my baby...
